Friday's Letters

Friday's Letters

Dear Crowders Mountain: I'm looking forward to breaking in my new Keen hiking boots on you this weekend.

Speaking of weekend...

Dear Weekend: Why are you so short. After 5 grueling days of the "work week" we only get two days to recover? That doesn't seem fair.

Dear 1st time Commenters: Please, please, please, do NOT go to my comment section, and leave a generic comment about how you're a "new follower" and would love for me to "follow you back". In case you feel the urge, please refer to this post for further clarification on why this is frowned upon.

Dear Readers: Thank you for another fantastic week in the blogosphere. I know things have been quiet around here lately, but that's only because I've been stockpiling posts for the upcoming month. Please bare with me for a little while longer. I promise to have some awesome stuff coming your way soon.

Dear Summer: Au revoir. It was fun, but I'm ready for boots, scarves and sipping hot coco by the fireplace DVD with my little munchkin. We'll see you next year.

  1. Hey Reese, will you follow me? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I would say that I am looking forward to Fall as well, but around these parts, it's more of the same 80 degree weather we are used to. I could always pretend. Maybe I will break down and buy some of those boots with the fur that Flo Rida sings about. Yeah, ummm, no. Probably not.

Have an awesome weekend Girly and enjoy your hike.

    1. LOL totally understand. I set myself up for that one ;)

I do have a pair of boots with fur. Perhaps I should purchase a pair of apple bottom jeans to complete the outfit? I will if you will ;)

Thanks for stopping by! Have an awesome weekend.

  2. I like the socks!! And I still wonder why commenters think that that strategy works for getting a good reputation for their blog?

    1. Thanks! I basically have a wardrobe of brightly colored socks. Somedays I'll be in super professional attire with boots, and under my boots I'll be rocking an obnoxiously bright and crazy pair of socks. I suppose it's my way of being defiant.

And yes, the comments never cease to amaze me. The worst by far was the September 11th post. I kept the comment there just so I can go back every once and a while and remind myself what not to do.

  3. le sigh, comment vomit. I wish it would go without saying, but alas there are still those who think that a simple-- "hi from you newest follower" will suffice. Hello! One of the reasons we blog is to connect...not much to grab on to with those comments. As always, love your honesty and realness, Reese. You are one of my faves!

  5. I'm ready for Fall as well even though it doesn't feel like Fall in Louisiana until around October. It's my favorite time of year. Also ready for scarves and boots and layers upon layers.
