I suppose it didn't help that I googled "problems with changing to a dotcom" or some nonsense like that. It was basically the equivalent to using WebMD when you're sick. We've all been there before. You just want to check to see if you're symptoms are consistent with a flu and then three pages in you're convinced that you have the Ebola virus. (Seriously guys, that site is evil. Stay. Away)!
Anyhow, as I mentioned last week, Bloggy Boot Camp is making it's way to Charlotte next month, so I wanted to be sure I had all my stuff together before then. In fact, I just ordered my new business cards to commemorate my dotcom status, and am already frantically tearing through my closet in search of that "perfect" outfit. BBC is two weeks out, so if I'm this anxious now, I'm probably going to be unbearable the day of. I've already apologized in advance to poor James.
I've also informed him that he will be the DD the night before since I will be attending the pre-party Friday night. I'm admittedly a terrible drinker. I seriously have the alcohol tolerance of a three year old child, so I typically don't indulge. However, I'm planning on letting my hair down (so to speak) and having a wonderful time with you ladies, and considering Mirassou Winery is one of the sponsors, I decided it was better to be safe than sorry.
I've been connecting with some of you lovely BBCCers on twitter, but if I somehow missed you, be sure to leave me a little love in the comment section so we can link up. Also, if you've been planning on losing the "blogspot" part of your address, and are need some help, leave a comment and I'll walk you though the steps. It's super easy, super quick and super cheap. Fear not ;)
Until next time
XOXO Reese
Yay for becoming a .com!
ReplyDeleteAnd Bloggy Boot Camp sounds like a blast, wish they would have one in PA.
I think they had one in Philly a few years back so keep looking in to it. You never know when they might come back to PA :)
DeleteUhm... they just had one this weekend :(
Deletelol, go figure! I thought I heard something about that!
DeleteI need to get a dotcom... is lazy a good enough excuse? LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe best advice I have is be sure that you're serious about blogging. That's part of the reason it took me so long to get to it. I kept going back and forth trying to decide if I was planning on sticking this out through the years, but then I reflected on how active I've been this past year, and how much growth I've had and just decided to go for it. Good luck to you my dear!
DeleteThis is my year of blogging conferences.. I've been blogging for 8 years and have been to plenty of social media conferences but first dedicated blogger conference and I'm super excited! Mainly to meet all you amazing ladies who I've gotten to know over the past couple of years!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world of dot com! I always back up my blog before making big changes, that helps alleviate some of the fear!
