Truthfully, I was a bit sad to see the last design go, especially since it was my first time designing a layout. I think I just outgrew the bright yellow and turquoise chevron print. It was a bit much. I would wake up at 6:00 a.m. bleary eyed and ready to blog the day away--only to turn on my computer and be greeted with a layout that could rival the brightness of the sun. Yes, it was a bit much.
I like my new space. It's a lot more contemporary and simplistic. It's very fitting for how I've evolved as a blogger. Hopefully this one will stick around for a while.
I have a lot planned for you all this week on the blog. First I have an AMAZING giveaway that I know you will love. Then I have a fabulous guest poster who will be giving you guys some great travel tips so you can kick your summer season off right.
Definitely stay tuned. This week will be a doozy.
I think it looks great Reese!!! Clean, but bright and cheerful...perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle. I absolutely fell in love with this color. I kept thinking about what they said at BBC, to pick one main color and then an accent to give it a bit of flavor. That conference was truly, truly worth it!
DeleteIt's adorable! Love the solid background... much cleaner!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ashley. I'm looking forward to waking up in the morning to this design. That solid background is much easier on the eyes ;)
DeleteIt looks sophisticated, Reese. I really like the look of your sidebar! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThank's Christine. This all goes back to what we learned at BBC. I made this entire layout, including the sidebar categories in picmonkey. It was so easy once I got the hang of it.
DeleteIt's beautiful. Very classic, and like Christine says, sophisticated! You did a great job. It's also not going to rival the sun on our poor bleary eyes! :-)
ReplyDeletelol, thank you Kat. I'm happy my layout will no longer blind you guys ;)
DeleteIt looks awesome, you did really good job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katrice. I briefly considered sending you an S.O.S, but I know things are probably hectic for you now with the new gig. I hope all is well :) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteLOVE it! Very clean and simple yet you have room to grow with it! Nice job! I want to do the same but I've messed with mine so much that I've promised myself that the next design change will be a "professional" one. Good job!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed the fact that you live in Charlotte...we should have done a meet-up looong ago!
ReplyDeleteYou just did a look re-do, didn't you? Looks good. :)
Cheers, Cams
