For this project you will need:
1. Hard Coat Mod Podge
2. Glitter
3. Make-up brushes of your choice
4. A foam brush
First, using your foam brush, apply a layer of Mod Podge to your brushes. Once you finish applying the first coat of Mod Podge, sprinkle glitter on top of it and let it dry. Be sure that you've fully covered the brush with glitter so as to avoid patches.
Next, apply another coat of Mod Podge. Then apply another layer of glitter. Let the Mod Podge dry again. Take a look at your brushes, if you see patches apply another layer of glitter and seal with a final coat of Mod Podge, this will keep the glitter from falling off and give it a shiny finish.
Leave these to dry overnight. For packaging, you can pick out a cute little makeup bag or use a ribbon to add a touch of style to this adorable gift. Either way, have fun with it. Making your own Christmas gifts is a refreshing reminded of the true reason for the season.
Be sure to come back tomorrow for day three. It's going to be a good one! Merry Christmas from our home to yours.

Mod Podge is my favorite! I love that stuff! You can make so many fun things with it!
ReplyDeleteYes you can! In fact, you can even make your own mod podge too! Here's a great tutorial for homemade mod podge: http://doityourselfdivas.blogspot.com/2011/09/diy-mod-podge.html
Delete50% water and 50% glue. A super simple way to cut the cost of crafting in half. I may do a post on this next week as well!
