Jurassic Quest 2016: Where Dinosaurs Come Alive

A/N: I was given tickets in exchange for promoting this exhibit, however, if you are a longtime reader, you know I only promote products and events that I truly believe in, or I know will be of interested to my readers.

If you're a product of the 90's or 80's by now you've probably seen at least one movie from the Jurassic Park saga. (And if you haven't yet, I grant you permission to stop reading, turn on Netflix and binge). As a kid, Jurassic Park was solely responsible for my obsession interest in dinosaurs. They were fascinating and incredible creatures. One can only imagine what it would be like to witness their power up close in personal.

But what if you could?

That's where Jurassic Quest comes in. Jurassic Quest is the largest exhibition of lifesize, moving, museum-quality dinosaurs in North America, and it's coming to a town near you. This dino extravaganza features more than 50 ultra-realistic animatronic dinosaurs. Visitors are encouraged to interact with the dinosaurs, learn all about them, and even take one for a ride (or two).

Once they're done learning about the dino's, your young paleontologists can uncover long hidden dinosaur bones in the fossil pit. Then, they can burn off all that energy in several huge dinosaur themed inflatable mazes.

Here's a partial list of some activities guests can participate in at Jurassic Quest:

Take an interactive tour of the exhibit with one of our dinosaur experts. Our guides take you through the exhibit explaining different dinosaurs, time periods, and the environment from over 65 million years ago.

Test your knowledge! Take a quiz on the exhibit and when you are done make your own plaster fossil to take home. All answers are found on the information signs inside the Dinosaur exhibit.

Sit down and enjoy our free craft table. Kids have the option to create their own paper dinosaur or choose from a variety of coloring pages. Paint, markers, crayons, glitter, feathers, eyeballs and more are used to decorate each child’s creation.

Become your favorite Dinosaur! Our Jurassic Artists have wow'ed children and parents a like. Choose from a full-face mask or smaller design.

Race to see how far you can get while the dino bungee cord pulls you back in. Compete against your friends, siblings or just test your strength.

Children have a once in a lifetime chance to actually ride a moving dinosaurv, with 5 different dinosaurs to choose from!

Young palaeontologists can uncover a huge triceratops or Trex Fossil. Unearth secrets like the ones that have been hidden for millions of years.

Be sure to stop by their website every once and a while. Jurassic Quest is a year-round exhibit and new traveling locations are added to the site  often! Until then, come out and find out what it was like to walk the earth with the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, but with a little less running and screaming.

Until next time,

  1. So glad this is coming to Hickory! My little guy is going through his dino love phase and I've been pretty much a fan of the Jurassic Park series and would love to learn more about dinos.

    1. We're so excited! Little J has been talking about Dino's non-stop since I show her. I hope you get the chance to check it out :)
