These garlic and sesame soy marinated green beans are a quick and easy side that the whole family will enjoy!

Since we are an Asian household, this year I've made it a point to focus on simple, Asian inspired recipes that my kiddo can appreciate.  With the Holiday's right around the corner, I've started coming up with simple ways to incorporate more Asian infused dishes into our Holiday meals, and these Sesame Soy Green Beans and Mushrooms are at the top of that list.

While I was at Walmart last week stocking up on the essentials, I noticed the NEW P.F. Chang's® Home Menu sauces in the International section. I like to experiment and switch it up a bit, so I grabbed a few bottles to see what I could come up with.

This Soy Sauce did not disappoint. It gave the green beans the extra bit of flavor I had been longing for.

Brewed using traditional Japanese methods, the NEW P.F. Chang's® Home Menu sauces provide a bold burst of flavor without all the complicated ingredients. I cook with soy sauce often, but I really enjoyed the P.F. Chang's® Soy Sauce, and plan to go back to stock up on more flavors. In addition to Soy, you can also choose from Mongolian, Teriyaki, Sesame and Kung Pao.  I'm planning to test out a few more flavor in the coming weeks, but for now, if you're interested in trying out these delicious Sesame Soy Green Beans, check out my recipe below!

1 bag frozen green beans, thawed and drained
1/2 cup of portabello mushrooms, sliced
¼ cup P.F. Chang's® soy sauce
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
Sesame seeds (optional)

Turn stove to medium heat and place frying pan on stove. Add 1/2 tbsp of seasame oil, and 1/2 tbsp of garlic. Cook until golden. Reduce heat and add mushrooms. Cook for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, ½ tbsp garlic, and brown sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.

Using the same pan as the garlic and mushrooms, pour the green beans mixture into the heated, oiled pan. Spread green beans out evenly and cover. Allow green beans to cook for about 5 minutes or until softened.

Remove from heat, and plate. Optional sprinkle sesame seeds over green beans to give it an extra burst of flavor.

Serve with a smile and enjoy!
